Choosing a brand new Puppy?

Where to start? Here are our top tips on choosing your new companion:

• Research the breed
• Consider other pets in your home
• Where will you get your dog from? A shelter, breeder, private?
• Meet the puppy’s parents (if buying from a breeder)

Bringing your dog home

You have met your new member of the pack, and probably have a date for them to come home. So what do you need to be fully prepared? No matter how carefully you prepare, there are hazards that your dog will find!

• Get down on their level and crawl on the floor at what would you be your dog’s level.
• Check for small objects, hanging wires and anything that looks like a fun game.
• Keep cleaning products and hazardous materials locked away.
• Flowers, such as lilies, must be kept away as they are toxic.
